What We Do

One contractor for the whole job

We specialize in general contracting: planning, permitting and running the whole project, and doing the work ourselves with our own crew and equipment — from gutting a kitchen to putting in a new leach field.

Our Specialty

General Contracting

We run the project end to end: scope, budget, schedule, permits and inspections, and the trades — most of which we self-perform. One point of contact from the first walkthrough to the final punch list.

  • Whole-house renovations
  • Additions & garages
  • Project planning & budgeting
  • Permits & inspections
  • Site work through finish work
  • Investor & rental-property rehabs

Frame-to-Finish Remodeling

Whole-house and room-by-room residential remodeling. Framing, insulation, drywall, trim, doors, flooring and paint — start to finish under one roof.

  • Kitchens & bathrooms
  • Additions & layout changes
  • Basement & attic finishing
  • Windows, doors & siding

Tile

Properly prepped, properly waterproofed, properly set. Tile that looks right on day one and still looks right ten years in.

  • Showers & tub surrounds
  • Kitchen & bath floors
  • Backsplashes
  • Waterproofing & substrate prep

Septic Repairs & Installs

New system installs, replacements and repairs. Tanks, D-boxes, leach fields, pumps and risers — installed to the approved design and state code.

  • New system installation
  • Failed-system replacement
  • Tank, pump & line repairs
  • Risers, filters & covers

Excavation

Site prep, foundation digs, utility trenches and drainage. Our own excavator and operator, so scheduling is on our terms, not a sub's.

  • Foundations & footings
  • Water, sewer & electrical trenches
  • Culverts & driveway cuts
  • Site prep for additions & garages

Grading

Finish grading, yard leveling, driveway prep and regrading to move water away from the house instead of into the basement.

  • Finish & rough grading
  • Driveways & gravel
  • Regrading away from the foundation
  • Loam, seed & site cleanup

Demolition

Interior gut-outs, selective demo and full structure take-downs — done safely, with utilities handled and debris hauled off, so the rebuild starts on a clean site.

  • Interior gut & strip-outs
  • Selective / structural demo
  • Garage, shed & outbuilding removal
  • Full house tear-downs
  • Debris hauling & disposal

Drainage

Wet basement, standing water in the yard, water running at the foundation — we find where it's coming from and give it somewhere else to go.

  • French & curtain drains
  • Foundation & perimeter drains
  • Underground downspout lines
  • Dry wells & catch basins
  • Yard & driveway drainage

Tree Removal

Take-downs, lot clearing and stump removal — often the first step before a build, addition or septic field goes in.

  • Tree removal & take-downs
  • Lot & view clearing
  • Stump grinding & removal
  • Brush chipping & haul-away
About Credence

Generations in the trades

Credence Construction Co. grew out of generations of family contractors and tradespeople. Building, remodeling and sitework is what our family has done for a living for a long time, and this company is the latest chapter of that.

That background shows up on the job. We know what a project actually costs, where the surprises hide in an older New England house, and how to sequence the sitework and the interior so the job moves instead of stalling. We do the work the way we were taught to: right the first time.

We're licensed and insured, we run our own crew and equipment, and the person you talk to at the estimate is the person who's accountable on the job.
